Scott Jewett, Founder, ZipFlat

Scott E. Jewett
Founder
Zipflat

Scott Jewett, CEO of Zipflat, has successfully built a track record in growing market-leading companies.  The Zipflat product was invented using composite building technology for the primary purpose of providing life saving shelters.  In addition, Scott also is currently heading up the Irvine, California iFranchise office and specializes in implementing rapid growth strategies for a wide range of companies, including leading international projects for companies like Twentieth Century Fox, West Marine and Tyco.

In addition to his extensive consulting experience, Mr. Jewett holds numerous US Patents, has been a panelist on U.S. government technical meetings, conducted R&D for the U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Naval Research Center and was the founder of several other companies.

Business expansion strategies come naturally, as proven by Mr. Jewett’s licensed expansion of LINE-X, an industrial coatings company and once one of the fastest-growing franchise systems in North America.  Taken from start up to over $160 million sales throughout 23 international markets, winning numerous awards, including placing 56 in the Entrepreneur 500 and being named to Entrepreneur Magazine’s “20 fastest growing” four years in a row, LINE-X was named “Best New Franchise” for five years.  Awards included growth, management and operational excellence by Frost and Sullivan, SEMA and a host of other organizations.

Founding PAXCON, the Government Contracting Division of LINE-X, Scott developed innovative approaches and technical designs for force mitigation leading to the coveted contract to blast mitigate the US Pentagon Building.  Also responsible for establishing the only coating system to gain U.S. Department of Defense, Army Corps of Engineers, and the U.S. Navy approval for protecting structures against terrorist attacks.  The U.S. Department of Defense contracted with Mr. Jewett to engineer ballistic resistant solutions for military vehicles and structures resulting in designing, testing and writing technical specifications for government buildings.  Scott was also responsible for the retrofit of Federal Buildings and structures around the globe.

Scott currently resides in Mission Viejo with his family.  He holds a B.S. in Business Administration and an M.B.A. from San Diego State University.
