Harvey Jewett, Senior Engineer, ZipFlat

Harvey Jewett
Senior Engineer
Zipflat

Harvey Jewett, Senior Engineer comes to ZipFlat with a variety of high level design and test experience in everything from pneumatic systems to rocket motor production.  Having served in the US Navy as a pilot, Harvey also worked for several companies as an aerospace engineer.  As a Chief Engineer at General Dynamics, he designed and tested pneumatic and mechanical systems for the Atlas/Centaur rocket system and for the Tomahawk Missile.  At SpaceDev, Harvey helped design and test a solid rocket motor that was used on Scaled Composites, Inc.’s White Knight space program.   The rocket motor that Harvey worked on went on to help Scaled Composites win the coveted “X Price” as the world’s first commercial vehicle to go into space.  Mr. Jewett’s signature is even on the final rocket motor that is today displayed at the Smithsonian Museum in Washington DC.  Holding a patent for an explosive separation system for payload/rocket sections, Harvey’s interest continues to be in improving and inventing products and applications.

Focused in Consistent-Improvement-Engineering, Mr. Jewett is the driving force behind the innovations in the Zipflat product.  As co-inventor on the US Patent Pending products at ZipFlat, Mr. Jewett continues to innovate to optimize it as the world’s most force resistant, insulated, and easy to deploy building.  Harvey holds both his BA and BS in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University.
